Best Brownies Ever

Best Brown­ies Ever
adapted from Raw Food Punk

  • 1 cup pecans
  • 2 cups almond pulp
  • 20 med­jool dates
  • 2 Tbsp water
  • 23 cup carob pow­der
  • 4 drops dark-​​chocolate extract (optional)
  • 2 Tbsp almond but­ter
  • 2 Tbsp coconut oil
  • hand­ful whole pecan nuts

Process all ingre­di­ents in a food proces­sor except the hand­ful of pecan-​​nuts.
Add the whole nuts and mix by hand.
Press into a brownie pan.
Cool for at least ten min­utes to firm them up a bit.
ENJOY!

This recipe is an adap­ta­tion of Raw Food Punk‘s Raw Brown­ies posted on Gone Raw, a  mega-​​source of shared raw recipes (view the orig­i­nal recipe on Gone Raw).

We sub­sti­tuted the cacao from the orig­i­nal recipe with carob pow­der to make it more suit­able for most peo­ple, and used a spe­cial ingre­di­ent which takes any dessert to the next level of yum­mi­ness :

This dark choco­late extract is one of dif­fer­ent extracts car­ried by The Raw Food World store : 

We just got it on our last order from the site, and it has slowly built into us as we used it in smooth­ies and desserts.

Now we really appre­ci­ate the fla­vor of dark-​​chocolate-​​in-​​a-​​drop, spar­ing us the over-​​stimulation of cacao.

Well, she was right about these brown­ies : they are one of the best things to do with nut-​​pulp.
