Best Brownies Ever
adapted from Raw Food Punk
- 1 cup pecans
- 2 cups almond pulp
- 20 medjool dates
- 2 Tbsp water
- 2⁄3 cup carob powder
- 4 drops dark-chocolate extract (optional)
- 2 Tbsp almond butter
- 2 Tbsp coconut oil
- handful whole pecan nuts
Process all ingredients in a food processor except the handful of pecan-nuts.
Add the whole nuts and mix by hand.
Press into a brownie pan.
Cool for at least ten minutes to firm them up a bit.

We substituted the cacao from the original recipe with carob powder to make it more suitable for most people, and used a special ingredient which takes any dessert to the next level of yumminess :

We just got it on our last order from the site, and it has slowly built into us as we used it in smoothies and desserts.
Now we really appreciate the flavor of dark-chocolate-in-a-drop, sparing us the over-stimulation of cacao.
